The Better Business Awards is the premier event in recognising the most distinguished professionals and businesses in the mortgage and finance industry.

The finalist list, which was announced on Thursday, 24th March 2022, features over 600 high-achieving professionals across 19 submission-based categories.

Reaching the finalists stage is regarded as an incredible achievement across the Australian broking industry, showcasing the depth of dedication and commitment each individual and team brings to advancing the industry.

The RateMyAgent Agent of the Year Awards is one of the largest real estate awards in Australia, comparing over 36,000 agents, agencies and mortgage brokers across the country.

These awards are the only industry awards to put clients’ needs first and exist to help consumers identify benchmarks in their local area.

Being awarded as one of the Top 20 Brokers, we have been specifically recognised by customers. This is an amazing accomplishment exhibiting the great work and results that we have achieved for our clients.

Our very own Greenline Home Loans Director, Thaer Burbar, was ranked 15 in the Top 100 Mortgage Professionals Australia. Having seen almost 50% growth in loan values since the last financial year, Burbar says his success is down to “utter hard work”.

The brokerage specialises in different kinds of home, asset finance and commercial loans. Going beyond that, it even has a lending arm of the business offering its own white label product that was launched in August. But customer service is its primary focus, and Burbar says he goes above and beyond for all his customers, no matter the situation.

It’s our great pleasure to inform you that Thaer Burbar (Director/Mortgage Broker at Greenline Home Loans) was a finalist in the Better Business Awards 2021 – NSW for “Best Residential Broker”.

The Adviser celebrates the achievements of brokers in each state and territory through an in-person awards night in the five major states.

The Better Business Awards not only acknowledges the brokers who are leading the charge in each state and territory – those with the most effective businesses, teams, marketing strategies and integrated offerings – but also the lenders and aggregator BDMs that are best servicing brokers’ evolving needs.

Burbar says it is hard work that makes a top broker. Every customer needs a solution or assistance of some kind, and a top broker strives to ensure that solution is found. Beyond that, there are several other factors: industry knowledge, understanding of the different banks and their policies, as well as being able to identify the best fit for a customer.

Caring about your customers is also vital. “I genuinely care about all my customers and want to help them achieve all their dreams. That’s why they come to me in the first place, isn’t it?”

The Australian Brokering Awards is the only industry awards program focusing exclusively on leading brokers, brokerages and aggregation groups in the Australian mortgage industry.

This award recognises the residential broker that best represents the industry across key factors, including, but not limited to, loan volumes, loan book growth, compliance, submission quality and customer service, as well as business processes, systems, stakeholder engagement and customer relationship abilities.

Being awarded as a finalist in The Adviser’s Better Business Awards 2019 was a major achievement for Greenline Home Loans.

As the needs of consumers have grown, so has the need for brokers to offer solutions and services beyond residential mortgages. The best finance broker award recognises the broker who, over the financial year, has created the strongest client offering – one that services clients’ wider financial needs outside of residential mortgages.

This category assesses non-residential loan volumes and growth, including but not limited to commercial, business, insurance, leasing, asset and equipment finance, and personal loans.

The FBAA independent broker of the year award recognises the best broker in an independent business. Brokers may nominate themselves, and the AMA team will also consider input from aggregators and brokerages. Extra weight will be placed on nominations that come from those in a position to assess a broker’s performance objectively.

The best all-around broker award recognises brokers who display excellence in their field, not only from a financial perspective but also from a best practice business operation, customer service, community engagement and professional development point of view.
